About the Street Glide®
The Street Glide® is one of the flagship models within the Grand American Touring family and a best-seller here at Harley-Davidson® of Panama City Beach year in and year out. Many touring enthusiasts consider it among the greatest tourers ever made, and the stripped-down nature of this particular model gives it broad appeal. A defining characteristic of the Street Glide® and what distinguishes most from the Road Glide is that it has the fork-mounted fairing, which is famously known as the batwing.
The Street Glide® is so popular that Harley-Davidson® offers it in a number of configurations beyond the standard model. That includes the Street Glide® Special, which gets a more powerful engine and a number of high-end upgrades in addition to being offered in a much wider selection of colors and finishes. The 2023 Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Street Glide® is the pinnacle Street Glide®. This particular model year has been much anticipated as the brand has been teasing major updates well ahead of the official introduction. Notable differences between it and the standard engine include unique designs, a more powerful engine, an upgraded suspension and all advanced driver assists included.
What’s New for 2023?
The biggest news is that Harley-Davidson® has introduced the Milwaukee-Eight® VVT 121 engine, which is liquid cooled and the most powerful engine now available with an H-D® tourer. The 2023 Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Street Glide® and CVO™ Road Glide will be the first models to ship with that new engine. The brand has also redesigned the front end and upgraded both the front and rear suspension with beefier Showa components. The infotainment system is all new as well and features a 12.3-inch touch screen.
Making It Yours
The only customization choice that you have to make at the time of purchase is the design. Harley-Davidson® is offering two options, a standard design included in the MSRP and a premium design. The standard design has a darker but not quite blacked-out aesthetic with pinstriping and the Dark Platinum color scheme. The optional design has a traditional chrome aesthetic with the Whiskey Neat color.
