The Sport category is a family of motorcycles that Harley-Davidson® introduced to its lineup last model year and which it is expanding with a third model this model year. This marks the brand’s first real foray into the sport bike segment. Sport bikes became popular in the 1980s and were originally motorcycles inspired by the professional racing scene but which were street-legal. These motorcycles are more than just fast and often reflect the pinnacle of motorcycle innovation, and over the last four decades, this class of motorcycle has evolved to cater to a much wider audience than it once did.
That was one of the impetuses for introducing the Harley-Davidson® Sport category models. These are sport bikes but uniquely Harley-Davidson® motorcycles, and that gives sport bike fans additional options and also helps Harley-Davidson® broaden its audience. Another motivation was the Sportster®, which really was the original sport bike but was not even considered a performance cruiser. The Sport family, therefore, was an opportunity to reimagine the original Sportster® as if it had been designed in 2022 and not 1957, and the result of that effort was the Sportster® S.
The Nightster™ is an alternative to the Sportster® S that’s just as modern when it comes to its technologies but which has a classic Sportster® silhouette and which provides more of a traditional cruiser experience. Think of it as a cross between a muscle cruiser and a sport bike. The Nightster™ Special is the newest of the 2023 Harley-Davidson® Sport category models now available at Harley-Davidson® of Panama City Beach. The Nightster™ is now a bit more stripped down, and the Nightster™ Special adds some of the features from the Sportster® S, such as the ride modes and LCD screen. It’s also available in premium designs as opposed to the standard Vivid Black, and those are Bright Billiard Blue, Black Denim, and Industrial Yellow. Visit us near Lynn Haven FL.
