We have both 2023 Harley-Davidson® Adventure Touring models—the Pan America™ 1250 and Pan America™ 1250 Special—available to test ride and purchase. These are dual-purposes motorcycles with one of the most sophisticated suspensions ever designed.
Pan America™ 1250
The Pan America™ 1250 is the standard option among the Harley-Davidson® Adventure Touring category models. It is built on the Adventure Touring platform, which was designed specifically for multi-purpose riding, and it is available in a single design scheme: Vivid Black. Ride characteristics include a frame-mounted fairing, a tall seat height with upright rider positioning and mid-mount foot controls.
All 2023 Harley-Davidson® Adventure Touring models are powered by the Revolution® Max 1250. This is a liquid-cooled engine that makes 150 horsepower. The frame is designed to reduce overall weight while ensuring better handling through a stiffer chassis. The suspension is sophisticated and also adjustable. All of Harley-Davidson®’s advanced electronic assists are included here standard, and there are preprogrammed models that let you adjust the suspension and assists with a single touch.
Pan America™ 1250 Special
The Pan America™ 1250 Special available at Harley-Davidson® of Panama City Beach has an even more advanced suspension with semi-active front and rear dampers. This suspension adjusts itself based on a wide range of factors, including throttle, torque and roll rate. It also has a Vehicle Loading Control system that senses the weight of the rider, and passenger if applicable, and automatically adjusts the rear preload in order to achieve optimal sag. The semi-active suspension also has five profiles that you can select: Comfort, Balance, Sport, Off-Road Soft and Off-Road Firm.
The Special also opens up additional options. The Vivid Black color scheme is standard with this model as well, but you can also choose either Gray Haze or Industrial Yellow with White Sand, and with all designs, you have the option of upgrading from cast to laced wheels. Adaptive Ride Height is also available as a factory-installed suspension upgrade. This is an industry-first feature that automatically transitions between the optimal stopped and riding seat heights, and ARH is fully integrated into the ride modes.
