If you’re interested in purchasing a new cruiser, you now have the option of the 2023 Harley-Davidson® Street Bob® 114 and 2023 Harley-Davidson® Fat Bob® 114 at Harley-Davidson® of Panama City Beach. See them in our showroom as soon as today, and schedule your test ride with us online or by phone. Both of these motorcycles are bobbers, but there are core differences in their designs. The Fat Bob® is intended for the rider who wants more of a sportier experience whereas the Street Bob® is configured to deliver a more traditional cruiser experience.
The feel of these motorcycles is quite different, which is why we strongly recommend a test ride to compare the 2023 Harley-Davidson® Street Bob® 114 vs 2023 Harley-Davidson® Fat Bob® 114. Bobbers are a classic type of cruiser that have bobbed or abbreviated fenders. But the Street Bob® is more of a traditional bobber in the way that it positions the rider and how it is more stripped down. The Fat Bob® delivers a more aggressive riding experience, and the “fat” in the name refers to its wider tires.
The 2023 Harley-Davidson® Street Bob® 114 and the 2023 Harley-Davidson® Fat Bob® 114 are both powered by the Milwaukee-Eight® 114 V-twin engine, which is what the 114 designation in their names refers to. While both of these motorcycles are Softails, the Fat Bob® is actually a big departure from that core design. It also has a different exhaust than found on the Street Bob® and most H-D® cruisers.
Neither of these motorcycles has an infotainment system. The Fat Bob® has a 4-inch analog tachometer. The Street Bob® has an LCD screen with a 2.14-inch viewable area.
All lights on both of these models, including the signature headlamps, are LEDs. Electronic cruise control is included with the Fat Bob®. The Street Bob® can be upgraded with cruise control by our service team.
The 2023 Harley-Davidson® Street Bob® 114 has a dark aesthetic and comes standard with cast wheels. Vivid Black is the default color scheme included in the MSRP. You also have the option of Redline Red and Industrial Yellow. The 2023 Harley-Davidson® Fat Bob® 114 has a dark finish too but also bronze- and aluminum-look accenting along the exhaust. Vivid Black is the default color scheme with this model as well, and Redline Red and Gray Haze are optional. There are many upgrades and accessories for these models in the H-D® catalog, and we provide full access to that catalog at competitive prices.
Other Harley-Davidson® Cruisers
The Cruiser family features eight distinct models for the 2023 model year, and they are all available through Harley-Davidson® of Panama City Beach. The Fat Bob® is a rather unique model, so there is no direct comparison to it within the lineup. But you may want to consider the Fat Boy or even the Lower Rider ST or Breakout 117, which have the more powerful Milwaukee-Eight® 117 engine. As alternatives to the Street Bob®, you may want to consider the Softail Standard and Low Rider S.
Pricing when comparing the 2023 Harley-Davidson® Street Bob® 114 vs 2023 Harley-Davidson® Fat Bob® 114 likely won’t be a deal breaker for most customers, but there are differences. The most affordable cruiser in the H-D® lineup in terms of MSRP is the Softail Standard. The MSRP of the Street Bob® is about 15% more than that, and the Fat Bob® is priced over the Street Bob® by about 14%.
