2023 Harley-Davidson® Ultra Limited vs 2023 Indian Roadmaster

2023 Harley-Davidson® Ultra Limited vs 2023 Indian Roadmaster

If you’re interested in a fully dressed American touring experience, you should check out the 2023 Harley-Davidson® Ultra Limited that is now available at Harley-Davidson® of Panama City Beach. The Ultra Limited continues the legacy of the Electra Glide as a fully loaded and modern touring machine. You can purchase your own Ultra Limited as soon as today, and our team can also assist you with financing, personalization and much more. We can also help you compare the Ultra Limited against its top competition, such as the 2023 Indian Roadmaster. The Roadmaster is also a premium touring motorcycle that delivers plush seating, heated grips and all of the other extras that you expect in this space.

Performance

Performance is similar between the 2023 Harley-Davidson® Ultra Limited and 2023 Indian Roadmaster. In fact, recent testing by third parties showed uncanny similarities in the powerband. The Ultra Limited has the Milwaukee-Eight® 114, which is an iconic engine and the most powerful currently available on the brand’s standard touring models. The Roadmaster has the Thunderstroke 116, which is air cooled as well. The most notable performance difference is the suite of advanced rider-assistance technologies that H-D® offers. They are optional and do increase the MSRP, but Indian doesn’t offer an equivalent.

Ride Characteristics

These motorcycles are very similar fundamentally in terms of the ride characteristics, and we absolutely recommend test rides for a more nuanced appreciation. The Ultra Limited has the iconic batwing fairing. The Roadmaster has its own take on a fork-mounted fairing. Both have windscreens, heated grips, infotainment systems, two-up seating with a passenger backrest, floorboards, stretched saddlebags and a touring pack.

Making It Yours

At Harley-Davidson® of Panama City Beach, we offer the Ultra Limited with either a chrome or black finish. Vivid Black with chrome is standard and included with the MSRP. Heirloom Red Fade with chrome is a premium option that will only be available this model year as part of the 120th anniversary celebration. Riders who prefer the chrome appearance also have the option of Gray Haze with Silver Fortune or Redline Red. For those who prefer the darker aesthetic, the options are Prospect Gold with Vivid Black, Bright Billiard Blue with Billiard Gray and Gray Haze.

The Roadmaster is available exclusively in a classic chrome aesthetic, and there are just two design options. Black Metallic is included in the MSRP, and the two-tone pairing of Silver Quartz Metallic and Bronze Pearl Metallic is available for an additional fee. As for customization after purchase, the Roadmaster is a model that has solid OEM support, but it pales in comparison to all of the performance parts, accessories and other upgrades available in the H-D® catalog for the Ultra Limited.
